The 2830 is the address of this community-based property in the NE Kerns neighborhood of Portland. With a long history of faith-based ownership, this property was purchased in 2012 by Alongsiders PDX — a neighborhood faith community whose desire was to make the 2830 a community hub for NE Portland. After extensive remodeling efforts spanning several years, that vision is now a reality.

Today the 2830 is thriving. Each week, hundreds of people — neighbors and out-of-town visitors alike — walk through these doors to enjoy great coffee and good company, to receive food for the week ahead, to sit with a licensed therapist or spiritual director, to feel seen and encouraged, and to participate in celebrations and events. What took years of imagination, risk, and resources to build, the 2830 has become a welcome gift to this neighborhood and beyond.
